Acupuncture & Health Improvement
About Us
Our Acupuncture and Health Improvement clinic in Richardson TX is operated by Wei-Chen Ni, PhD. Dr. Ni is a national board (NCCAOM) certified oriental medicine practitioner, a Texas state licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, a master of traditional Chinese Martial Arts, a professional mathematician and a computer scientist. He studied traditional Chinese martial arts under many great masters starting at age 12 in Taiwan and was the recipient of numerous awards for forms, demonstrations and performances at international and American competitions. Among other forms, he has taught ancient Chinese health and healing exercises such as Tai-Chi, Hsing-I, Ba-Gua etc. for over 40 years in Taiwan and the US. The positive outcomes in terms of injury recovery and various significant health improvements reported by his students throughout the years and his own profound interest in pressure points from his unusually broad exposure in martial arts motivated his pursuit for another graduate degree in oriental medicine. Dr. Ni applies his exceptionally strong analysis and problem solving skills from his scientific background to his medical diagnosis and treatment planning for each individual case. He truly believes that taking a holistic approach to wellness through acupuncture, herbs and exercises is the preferred and historically proven natural, effective and non-invasive option for treating a wide variety of conditions. The remarkable results observed in his practice fully support this belief. Beyond treating patients' pains or health conditions, he further stresses the importance of regularly doing internal Chi exercises for the lifelong benefits of health improvement and illness prevention.
